I'm a little behind on uploading my gratitude and happiness photos.... I will catch up in one email tomorrow for the last week!
But for today, I'm going to post photos -- our city is back on track... well almost..... But I'm mainly grateful that during our crazy storm, I had a warm home w/ electricity and internet, safe travels during the snowfall, and the day off. :) If planned well, the storm was actually beautiful (well at least till the 70mph winds showed up)
I'm sure the snow day was used just as we each individually planned since most of us were prepared via whatever means of news we typically engage.
For me, the blizzard did not thwart my plans to study but in fact was a melioration. As I study and apply what I'm learning to this note and some other mnemonic tactics :) -- I have found many great ways to remember GRE vocab words and now on to the math problem questions. Gratitude is due to this blizzard day :)
But I don't want to palliate everyone's experience as many have lost their cars on LSD, lost hours of their time, others have saved the day for one or many individuals, and each and every person has their own version of how the storm affected them.
These are just a handful of photos from friends and acquaintances who posted on Facebook. A snapshot of what happened.
Its the moment that you question yourself and your plan.... it seems that a friend, associate, client, or family member reminds you.... nope your thoughts & feelings are correct. Sometimes it is with a word, other times with a present. What it says to me in a supportive way -- take some action steps, Lynnie :)
Today I'm thankful for this book, a successful fun and supportive client appreciation / late holiday party completed, and for today's Bears game (which seems to make many people happy and will be taking up part of my day)
I'll be ready for the real estate rush after the Superbowl :)
Thankful for my new corner cafe. And to quote another, "I'd much rather hang out in a cafe. That's where things are really happening." -- Journalist, Joe Sacco
I'm a little behind on my gratitude photoblog --- but I have been taking pictures and quite excited about the 2011 year and all the ideas flowing. :)
Today's photo blog is just simple: Snow and Massage. Its been a long day.... and I'm thankful for snow, massage, and 1/11/11... being that it's a fun number to type and write.
and really... my pillow is calling my name now.... :) good night everyone.
So yesterday the day ended at Story Studio .... and come to find out... it was a space directly next to 2nd stories. It was a group of 3 men and 6 women learning and just "getting started" on our story writing :)
Stories do entertain, encourage, inspire, cause emotion, and overall are a give and take of being in the present moment and pulling away to a projection then back again to the present moment. Just another fun day .... full of activity and challenge.
Its been a wonderful day of Stories, Nature, and Laughing..... for this I am grateful.
And what great performance at Webster wine bar from @2ndstoriesVisiting the Fox Lake area .... I viewed the Illinois Volo Bog today just after a short native american flute performance, photo contest, and a storytelling performance.
How couldn't he put a smile on my face. Thanks @sherrytan -- his pic is saved in my phone for a rainy day.
Of course, being the busy real estate agent that I am... I find it best to pooch-sit vs having my own dog. Though seriously he could fit in my purse
:)That I have a full tank of gas .... :)
